control structure from Governance, through management to the detailed
Performance level. Once trained in Practical Governance and Risk Management™,
the forms and documentation software will guide you through documenting
the basic controls in place to meet your business objectives. Documenting
controls in processes and systems is never a simple exercise. It is difficult
to detail the basic controls on which the success of the process depends
without creating massive amounts of documentation. In addition, it is
difficult to create and maintain consistent documentation across the Governance,
Management, and Performance sections of a process. Generally, the process
owners will produce detailed (Performance) level documentation in a format
that they understand. The Management and Governance components are usually
not documented and certainly not understood by the detail oriented process

It provides a simple consistent way to document controls over Governance,
Management, and Performance levels of processes and systems in a consistent,
easy to understand format. The disks contain the necessary forms in Microsoft
Word and WordPerfect format, which can be expanded and modified as needed.
Each section on each form is referenced to the applicable forms above
and below it in the Governance, Management and Performance structure,
i.e., the risks identified in the Management controls forms is cross referenced
to the Governance sign off on those risks at the Governance level. Using
this approach, it is relatively simple to produce the control documentation
for a process from Governance controls down to Performance level controls
in a consistent format. NOTE:
PGRM Forms and Documentation software will only be valuable to
you if you have attended the Practical Governance and Risk Management™
course and are using the methodology to control processes and systems.
